I think it will work, once he's weaned, for baby to have a Daddy weekend at home while I go to, say, FOGcon, which is a four-hour drive away and would take two and a half days. I think it would be really hard on the little dude if I were gone six days, though. My first Wiscon, my older kid was either three or four, and it was traumatic for her that I was gone so long. I mean, she got over it and she's okay now, but after that experience, I don't think I'd leave for so long until the next one's maybe five.
